Born in Belfast, Liz has spent all of her adult life in Oxford. She first served as a County Councillor between 1981 and 1989. Having successfully led the Oxfordshire Campaign for Nursery Education, she returned to the County Council in 2001.

 

Liz worked as the Director of OCVA and in that capacity set up several organisations including the Oxfordshire Community Foundation and Dial a Ride. She served as Chair of the County Council in 2007 and was awarded an OBE for services to local government in 2008.

 

She has been a governor at Wood Farm Primary School and Slade Nursery School for decades and is totally committed to make the lives of children and young people better.
