Oxford City Council is promoting a cycle scheme to link Barton with the City centre utilising existing infrastructure and minor amendments to the highway. Land is required to carry out the scheme and authority is  sough to acquire the necessary land for highway purposes.

Amendments to the existing Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads, Faringdon) (Traffic Regulation) order 1982 by introducing  limited waiting and eliminating long-term parking which is currently not regulated.

§         Oxfordshire County Council (Horspath) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 200*
The Order seeks to impose a speed limit of 40 miles per house on the Horspath Road between Roman Way and the entrance to Horspath Sports Ground and improve for cyclist and pedestrians.

To consider the details of an Agency Agreement between Oxfordshire County Council and Cherwell District Council to enable Cherwell DC to pedestrianise Parsons Street and its access from Market Place.

To conside Oxfordshire County Council's funding for external transport posts in the event that the Oxfordshire district councils do NOT agree collectively to match-fund the sum already agreed by the County.  This was agreed at the Cabinet Member meeting on
22 November 2007.  [NB If the district councils DO  agree, then this item will be cancelled]

§         Banbury (Highlands) - Premium Bus Routes – Traffic Calming
To consider the results of a consultation on proposals for changes to the traffic calming along
Highlands, Banbury. The proposal seeks to improve the route without encouraging increased speed and additional vehicle numbers along .

§         Oxford, Roman Way - Stopping Up – Amendment to Traffic Regulation Order
Following the successful application to the
Magistrates Court to stop up the public highway known as Roman Way and Bridleway 75 the report will  consider the results of a consultation to remove parking restrictions from the traffic regulation order for the stopped up length of Roman Way.

To consider a response to a consultation by the Department of Communities and Local Government on changes to Regulations and Policy on the preparation of Local Development Frameworks.

§         Saving of Oxfordshire Structure Plan (2016) Policies
Request to the Secretary of State (via the South East England Regional Assembly from whom the request must come) to save specified Oxfordshire Structure Plan policies beyond the expiry date of the Plan, 28 October 2008, to avoid a policy vacuum.
