5        Financial Monitoring

 

Members are asked to note the addition of recommendation (d).

 

(d)        To recommend to Council that:

 

(1)               A fund of £100K be established from the additional LABGI allocation of £340K to assist in welcoming/supporting returning military personnel to Oxfordshire from serving abroad and their families.

 

(2)               Applications for contributions to projects to be approved by the Leader of the Council, Cabinet Member for Finance and the Assistant Chief Executive & Chief Finance Officer.

 

(3)               Proposals for the allocation of the remaining LABGI money be considered by the Cabinet in order to make recommendations for its use to the Council Meeting in January 2008.

11.     Partial Review of the South East Plan – Provision of Caravan Sites for Gypsies and Travellers

 

Members are asked to note that the report recommendation refers to members endorsing advice in Appendix A. It should refer to advice in Annex A, as the report refers throughout to advice in Annex A.

Banbury Waterloo Drive Parking Restrictions:  (2007/191)

The main focus of this scheme is to improve safety by the signal junction with Middleton Road where unrestricted parking on both sides of the road presently impedes it. It is also hoped that full adoption of Waterloo Drive will be complete by the time of this meeting to allow this scheme to be implemented if it is approved.
