Purpose

Phase I

1. to work together to plan the creation of a new cultural centre in the Old Gaol, Abingdon
2. to consider and recommend uses for the other buildings affected by the development
3. to negotiate with the consultants over the layout and physical arrangements within the cultural centre
4. to consider the plans prior to public consultation
5. to consider and review the public consultation exercise

Phase II

1. to consider the financial plans for the cultural centre
2. to negotiate and recommend the financial plans
3. to support applications for external funding
4. to consider and recommend appropriate management structures for the cultural centre
