PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS AND INTERCHANGE AT LEWKNOR

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE BABTIE STUDY

The following key aims and objectives were identified for the study.

  1. To provide a fully-accessible Interchange at Lewknor between the Oxford Tube and

    • The taxibus service
    • People arriving by foot or bicycle
    • People arriving by car and parking in the vicinity
    • People arriving by car and being dropped/picked up

    1. To enable pedestrians to walk safely and conveniently to both bus stops from either Lewknor village or parked vehicles.
    2. To enable Oxford Tube & Taxibus users to wait in safety and comfort.
    3. To maintain the existing timetable for the Oxford Tube service.
    4. To reduce the number of accidents at locations in the vicinity.
    5. To deter parking in unsuitable locations along the B4009, Hill Road and within Lewknor village.
