PROPOSED
IMPROVEMENTS AND INTERCHANGE AT LEWKNOR
AIMS AND
OBJECTIVES OF THE BABTIE STUDY
The
following key aims and objectives were identified for the study.
- To provide a fully-accessible
Interchange at Lewknor between the Oxford Tube and
- The taxibus
service
- People arriving
by foot or bicycle
- People arriving
by car and parking in the vicinity
- People arriving
by car and being dropped/picked up
- To enable pedestrians
to walk safely and conveniently to both bus stops from either Lewknor
village or parked vehicles.
- To enable Oxford
Tube & Taxibus users to wait in safety and comfort.
- To maintain
the existing timetable for the Oxford Tube service.
- To reduce the
number of accidents at locations in the vicinity.
- To deter parking
in unsuitable locations along the B4009, Hill Road and within Lewknor
village.
