REVIEW OF PARTNERSHIP GOVERNANCE ARRANGEMENTS PROPOSALS FOR THE STRUCTURE OF PARTNERSHIPS.
Report by Assistant Chief Executive (Strategy)
Introduction:
1. In February 2008 the Public Service Board commissioned
a review of the governance arrangements of the partnerships responsible for
delivery of the targets in the Oxfordshire 2030 Delivery Plan.
2. The aim of this review is to ensure that partnerships are fit for purpose and in particular to: - rationalise partnerships, - clarify member roles and officer support arrangements, - clarify the relationships and accountability between partnerships.
3. This report sets out proposals for the structure of those partnerships. These proposals were agreed by the Public Service Board at their meeting on 18 February 2009.
4. Further work on governance principals, membership and decision making is in hand and the Public Service Board shall receive a report at their meeting on 24 June. This report shall be brought to the Cabinet in July. 5. RECOMMENDATION:
The Cabinet is RECOMMENDED to:
(a) note the decision of the Public Service Board; and
(b) agree the report.
