Councillor Charlie Hicks

I was born, went to school, and studied my undergraduate degree and Master of Public Policy degree in Oxford.  I now work in public policy. 

I’m a keen sportsman, having played for many football clubs in Oxford throughout my childhood, and a musician, having sung in Out of the Blue while at university and in many bands and choirs since.

I have worked and volunteered in a number of roles in Oxford, including as a mental health worker at the Warneford hospital, a volunteer who set up a community food larder during the pandemic, and a school governor.  

I am also Chair of the Oxford Localities Group on Oxfordshire County Council.
