The Biodiversity Action Framework sets out
Oxfordshire County Council’s guiding principles, policies and
objectives for tackling the ecological emergency and fulfilling our
statutory obligations to further the conservation and enhancement
of biodiversity under the Natural Environment and Rural Communities
Act.
The Biodiversity Action Plan sets out, in table form, 43 actions
for 2025-26 to implement the policies in the Biodiversity Action
Framework.The actions have been identified for delivery across
county council services.

Internal survey of OCC service areas through
Let's Talk to inform our 'initial consideration' in 2023 with a
report produced in December 2023 which was presented to DLT for
each Directorate in early 2024. Draft documents were subject to a
second internal Let's Talk survey alongside targeted consultation
with specific teams early 2025.
