This project is part of the Department for
Transport Safer Roads Fund. The Iffley and Banbury Roads have been
identified as two of the roads with the highest number of incidents
involving vehicles and pedestrians. The inclusion of continuous
footways as side road entry treatments aim to reduce road
collisions and keep pedestrians safer. If pedestrians feel safer
throughout their journeys, they will be likely to choose to make
more journeys on foot, improving the overall health of the
area.
