The Deputy Chair, Councillor Laura Gordon (Cabinet Member for Environment and Economy), introduced the report.
During discussion, it was noted that the appointment of the Enterprise Oxfordshire Chair was a reserved matter for the Shareholder Committee. An open recruitment process had been unsuccessful so former members of the then OxLEP Board had been contacted and a selection panel consisting of the former Leader, former Cabinet Member and the Director of Economy and Place.
Councillor Leffman noted that she was on the interview panel, thanked all those who interviewed and commented that Alex Reip was an excellent candidate with lots of experience.
Councillor Gordon proposed and Councillor Leffman seconded the recommendations and they were approved.
