The County Council is consulting on proposals for residents parking area in roads south of the centre of Wantage in the Priory Road area.
The Cabinet Member is
RECOMMENDED to:
a) Approve the proposed ‘Permit holders
parking only past this point’ at all times area on the entire length of Priory
Road, as advertised.
b) Approve the proposed ‘Permit holders parking
only past this point’ at all times area throughout Maryfield,
as advertised, (subject to the amendment at d) below.
c) Approve the proposed 'No Waiting at Any
Time' restrictions (Double yellow lines) on Grove Street, Market Place (West
End) and Mill Street, as advertised.
d) Not approve the proposed ‘No Waiting at Any
time’ restrictions on Maryfield, as advertised.
e) Approve further formal consultation of an
amended proposal to introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions (Double yellow
lines) in Locks Lane and Priory Road as detailed in this report.
f) Instruct officers to undertake further
consultation with residents of Locks Lane to consider either further 'No
Waiting at Any Time' restrictions (double yellow lines) or inclusion in the
permit scheme, and then proceed to formal consultation in due course.
