The Cabinet Member is RECOMMENDED to:

 

Approve the proposals for the introduction of permit holders only parking (TH), Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, in Thame as follows:

 

a)    East Street, north side between the property boundary No. 6/7 and vehicular access to No.17,

 

b)    Wykeham Park, whole road, from its junction with East Street,

 

c)    To also include the dwelling at The Cross Keys PH in the list of eligible properties.

 

 

Decision:

Recommendations approved.

Minutes:

The Chair introduced the item to the meeting and invited officers to provide some background to the report.

 

Officers stated that the basis of the proposal was to extend permit holder parking in East Street and Wykeham Park.

 

Officers stated that they worked with the Town Council and local County Councillors to bring the proposals forward.

 

Officers noted that the proposals extending the entire way down East Street was discussed but the Town Council and local County Councillors felt that it should go as far as proposed in the report.

 

The Chair noted that the scheme had to be monitored. Officers noted that feedback from local County Councillors and members of the public is encouraged.

 

The Chair thanked officers and agreed to the recommendations in the report.

 

RESOLVED to:

 

Approve the proposals for the introduction of permit holders only parking (TH), Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, in Thame as follows:

 

a) East Street, north side between the property boundary No. 6/7 and vehicular access to No.17,

 

b) Wykeham Park, whole road, from its junction with East Street,

 

c) To also include the dwelling at The Cross Keys PH in the list of eligible properties.

 

The Chair agreed to take agenda item 10 at the end of the meeting to make better use of officer time.
