Minutes:
The Chair thanked the public speakers for their contributions and responded to their points in turn.
The Chair welcomed the measures in the report and noted her own long-term support for such a scheme.
The Chair noted the importance of working with localities, district councils and areas of population to ensure that the scheme worked as well as it could.
The Chair invited officers to make any comments about the scheme. Officers noted that the scheme has taken longer than expected to reach this position and emphasised the importance of co-production.
The Chair thanked officers for their efforts in producing the report and approved the recommendations within it.
RESOLVED to:
a) Approve the prioritised straight desire line network.
b) Approve a 'packaged' approach for Stage 2 and instruct officers to proceed with its implementation.
