This report presents responses to a statutory consultation on the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits.

 

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management is RECOMMENDED to approve the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised.

Decision:

1)    The Cabinet Member for Highway Management APPROVED the introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised; and

 

2)    That officers be requested to look further at speed issues on Hollow Way.

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member considered a report presenting responses to a statutory consultation on the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits.

 

Cllr Gant noted the response of the parish council in respect of the various speed limits in the area and the need for issues at Hollow Way to be considered. It was requested that officers look at this further.

 

Cllr Gant expressed his support for the recommendations in the report as the

proposal would help facilitate walking and cycling within the village and the safe movement of traffic.

 

DECISION:

 

1)    The Cabinet Member for Highway Management APPROVED the introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised; and

 

2)    That officers be requested to look further at speed issues on Hollow Way.
