Decision:

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member considered a report presenting responses to a statutory consultation on the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits in Sunningwell and Bayworth.

Councillor Andrew Gant invited the speaker to address the meeting.

Officers explained the reasoning for allowing a reduction from the national speed limit to 20mph in this case.  Where the road is straight, they believe that this approach is safe, whereas if there was a bend in the road, they would put in a reduction to 40 or 30mph first.

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management APPROVED the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised.
