This report presents responses to a statutory consultation on the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits in Horton-cum-Studley.

 

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management is RECOMMENDED to approve the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised.

 

Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management APPROVED the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised.

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member received a report presenting responses to a statutory consultation on the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits in Horton-cum-Studley.

 

Councillor Andrew Gant invited the speaker to address the meeting.

 

Councillor Gant responded that modal shift was one objective of the policy but safety was probably the most important one.

 

Officers agreed that crash map data could be included in future reports.

 

DECISION

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management APPROVED the proposed introduction of 20mph speed limits as advertised.
