Enables the Trust to drawdown funding to progress with the next stage of the project as detailed in the Outline Business Case.
Decision:
To enter
into an initial funding agreement to provide funding to Oxford Diocesan Schools
Trust in the sum of £0.760m to progress with the detailed design development
and planning permission for the relocation and expansion of Brize Norton
Primary School to the new school site at East Carterton.
Significant Change to expand and relocate the school has been received from the Department for Education.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable release of funding for the expansion of the school to meet the demand for pupil places from the new housing development at East Carterton.
Alternative options considered:
Expansion of the school on the existing site is not possible as the site is already constrained and undersized.
