To ensure the policy is up to date and appropriate governance arrangements in place.

The key changes are as follows:

 

  • Change in the title of the policy in line with gov.uk, which recommends that a council have an “Anti-Bribery Policy”;
  • Updated link to ministry of Justice Guidance - The Bribery Act 2010 - Guidanceat paragraph 24;
  • Update to the section on Public Contract (paragraph 29) to reflect the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023 - there will be a period of time when the council will be following both Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023;
  • Inclusion of a reference under paragraph 34 to the trade union being a point of contact for its members.
