Purpose:

To agree proposed traffic safety measures as part of approved residential development.

 

Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Highway Management AGREED to approve as advertised the following:

 

a)    A 20mph speed limit on Bailey Road, Bennett Drive, Fivash Close, Davies Road, George Parish Road, Hall Close, Harris Close, Longley Crescent, Tony Humphries Road, Upton Close and Wilson Road; and

b)    ‘No waiting at any time’ parking restrictions (double yellow lines) at Wilson Road & Longley Crescent.

Reasons for the decision:

The proposals would help facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians, cyclists and motor traffic within the new areas of the residential estate.
