Decision details

The final funding formula for schools and academies for 2020-21 needs to be formally approved politically before submission to the DfE.  Schools Forum has been consulted in development of the funding formula for 2020-21 as a statutory consultee, but the decision on the final formula is made by the local authority, after considering Schools Forum views.

Following the School Forum’s meeting of 15 January 2020, an updated report was presented and the following recommendation was agreed:

RECOMMENDATION

The Cabinet Member for Education & Cultural Services is RECOMMENDED to:-

a)    To agree the recommendation from Schools Forum.

b)   To approve the final funding formula for 2020/21 as set out in Annex 1.

c)    To note that the Local Authority will withdraw the disapplication request made to the Secretary of State for Education.
