To award a new traffic signals and maintenance contract.

 

Reasons for the decision:

To allow the continued maintenance and refurbishment of the traffic signal asset base.

 

The funding for this work will come from relevant operational capital and revenue budgets and any associated grant funding.

 

Alternative options considered:

Alternative would be to not award a new contract and utilise the existing Telent contract. Due to contract conditions and the value of the contract the service would not be able to deliver any capital upgrade work.
