Statement of Decision

 

Aristotle Lane, Oxford Proposed Changes to Parking and Access

Summary of representations in person

 

Councillor Jean Fooks (Local Member) had expressed her support for the measures as proposed insofar as an improvement in safety for all and a reduction in the use of the parking bay by people not going to Aristotle Road Recreation Ground.

 

Councillor Roaf expressed his support for a necessary and essential proposal to assist in the good running of the St Phillip and James School.

 

Mr Tole advised that County officers would look at further changes if it was found that commuter parking was displaced into residential areas.

 

Decision

 

Having regard to the arguments and options set out in the documentation before me, the representations made to me and the further considerations set out above, I confirm my decisions on this matter as follows:

 

to agree implementation of the proposed changes to parking and access on Aristotle Lane as described in the report CMDT9.
