Summary of representations in person

Councillor Fooks presented a petition on behalf of local Liberal Democrats in the following terms:

We ask the County Council to meet with the main Headington hospitals, Brookes University and Stagecoach to discuss the feasibility of extending the route of the no 14 bus beyond the JR to serve the rest of Headington.

Councillor Fooks highlighted the need for people from the north of the City to access services in Headington.  There had been many complaints about the lack of through bus services. The existing 700 service did not run beyond the JR hospital and it was suggested that the 14 route could be extended as a first step.

Cabinet Member’s Comments

Councillor Hudspeth received the petition and referred it to the Head of Transport for consideration.
