Report

Oxfordshire County Council (High Street, Didcot)(Bus Lane, One Way and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2007

A copy is attached to the signed copy of this decision.

Summary of representations in person

Councillor Joslin commented on a number of issues:

·          Need for remedial measures

·          Clear signing when the order was in place

·          Need for clarity regarding access for private hire cars

·          An apparent conflict in the order regarding disabled parking in High Street.

Mr Ronald replied that remedial measures had been included and signing would be clear.  With regard to private hire cars he was doubtful whether such a prohibition could be signed and therefore enforceable.  He agreed that provision for disabled parking in High Street had been an anomaly and would be removed.
