Mr Warrington advised that a petition regarding the Abingdon Integrated Transport Scheme had been presented at Council on 10 February 2008 by the Traders, Retailers, Employers and Business People of Abingdon in the following terms:
“We the undersigned, being Traders, retailers, Employers and Business people of Abingdon, demand urgent attention be given to the failings of the schem and the catastrophic effect it has had on our livelihoods, we would also bring to your attention the disastrous effect the reorganisation of the multi storey car park has had and demand this be given the same attention.”
Cabinet Member’s Comments
The Cabinet Member referred the petition to the Head of Transport for investigation.
