6. Oxford's
West End
The
City Council’s Executive Board on 4 April decided as follows
in respect of the recommendations set out in report EX8 :
- agreed
as drawn
- agreed
subject to the addition, after "planning considerations", of
"while recognising there is much to be finalised particularly
in relation to transport issues,"
- agreed
as drawn
In
addition, the Executive Board "noted that the above decisions
would not preclude officers holding discussions with relevant
stakeholders concerning reinstatement of the canal basin in
the Worcester Street car park site, although it was also noted
that it was not within the City Council's remit to deliver such
a scheme."
9. Oxford
Castle Heritage Interpretation Centre
The
Head of Property wishes to amend recommendation (a) in his report
EX9 as follows (new text underlined):
(a) confirm
formally that revenue support of up to Ł50,000 per annum
will be provided for the Oxford Castle Heritage Interpretation
Centre in the event that there is a revenue deficit over
and above the amount underwritten by the Oxford Preservation
Trust for the Centre during the first five years of operation,
unless the terms of any agreement with a commercial operator
would make such public subsidy inappropriate;
