The Executive is asked to note that it has not proved possible to produce Annex 5 to the report.

A draft of the report was considered on behalf of the Environment Scrutiny Committee yesterday by a panel of three of its members, and their comments are set out in the attached note. Subject to the Executive’s consideration of those comments, the Assistant Director (Highway Management) wishes to amend the recommendations in the report as follows:

    • amend (b) to read, defer to the meeting on 11 November a decision on whether all or some of the planned contribution to reserves is required in 2003/04;
    • delete (d) and renumber accordingly.

8. Regional Minerals Strategy – Consultation by South East England Regional Assembly

The Executive is asked to note the following amendments to final column of the table in paragraph 11 of the report:

  • Amend the heading to read Actual Supply 2001 (million tonnes);
  • Amend the figure for land-won sand and gravel to 12.4.

9. Raising our Performance 2

The comments of the Corporate Governance Scrutiny Committee (on 16 October 2003) are attached along with the observations thereon of the Chief Executive (download as .rtf file)..
