WOODEATON MANOR AND IFFLEY MEAD SPECIAL SCHOOLS

Report by the Director for Learning & Culture

OPTIONS

1. Maintain Woodeaton Manor and Iffley Mead Schools as currently.

2. Amalgamate Woodeaton Manor and Iffley Mead Schools, maintain current planned places and residential provision.

3. Amalgamate Woodeaton Manor and Iffley Mead Schools. Maintain existing planned places but close residential provision.

4. Amalgamate Woodeaton Manor and Iffley Mead Schools. Reduce planned places by 9 (no reduction in the number of children currently on roll), close residential.

5. Maintain one countywide MLD school and redesignate the remaining school as:

(a) a community special school; or

(b) an EBD special school;

6. Close both schools and strengthen support in mainstream and/or strengthen EBD provision and/or increase resources in community special schools.
