Oxfordshire Plan 2003/04 - Key points arising in debate

 

General

  1. The 2003/04 Plan was an improvement but still rather bland in parts, for example references at page 8 to ‘older people’ and page 12: to ‘day care services’, and should be firmed up.
  2. The Plan should:
  3. highlight the Council’s work/partnership with others, for example the Oxfordshire Health Authority and initiatives, stakeholders and engaging the public;

    emphasise the Council’s role in supporting the rural economy and maintaining the vitality of town/village centres and ‘green’ tourism.

  4. There should be no inconsistencies either within the Plan or its related publications.
  5. Spelling errors should be corrected.
  6. Best Value Performance Indicators

  7. The reason/s for ‘greyed out’ and unfilled cells on i.e. page 37 required explanation.
  8. Page 40: the Plan should confirm the BVPI definition of ‘footways’
  9. Public Service Agreement

  10. This section should include reference to the development of ‘job descriptions’ for PSA target Champions.
