Save Bury Knowle Library
This library is a much valued asset to the community and contributes in many ways to leisure and education. It is an essential amenity used and appreciated by a wide public. It is part of our community heritage. We demand more time to consider the options and explore alternative funding possibilities. We believe that if savings need to made they should be made elsewhere. The closure is not democratic as there has been no consultation or discussion during local elections.

Council response
This petition has been re-opened dure to continued interest.
Previous Action
Its contents have been forwarded to the relevant Council officers
for consideration and are available to Councillors.
It was made available to councillors as part of the early
comments on the emerging library proposals. These were made
available before the Cabinet meeting in January that made
recommendations to Council for the budget. The petition will also
be considered again alongside responses to any formal consultation
process in relation to the library proposals
