The Cabinet Member for Growth & Infrastructure considered a report setting out the detail of a second review of the van and trailer permit scheme and amendments to it in the light of issues that had arisen in the course of the year since the first review and advised that she had visited most of the sites herself and believing it to be a common sense approach highlighted advantages of the Scheme which included protection for householders, good ongoing savings and its predominantly  ‘paperless’ nature.

 

(a)               approve the detailed amendments to the Van and Trailer Permit Scheme as set out in Annex 1 to the report CMDGI4;

 

(b)               authorise the Deputy Director for Environment, Economy & Customer Services Commercial to make changes to the permit scheme as deemed necessary in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Growth and Infrastructure;

 

(c)               conduct a third review of the Scheme when appropriate and not longer than 3 years from the date of the report CMDGI4.
