The Chair introduced the item to the meeting, invited speakers to make their addresses and responded to their points in turn.

Officers advised that the proposal formed part of the Council’s continuing programme of 20mph schemes.

The Chair noted the support received from local councillors.

The Chair noted that the proposal was consistent with the Council’s Vision Zero objectives and would improve safety for residents, visitors and other road users.

The Chair thanked officers and agreed to the recommendations in the report.

RESOLVED to:

a)    Approve the introduction of a 20mph speed limit within Compton Beauchamp, as advertised.
