Cabinet Member’s Comments

 

I note that:

the terms of the lease will include provision for the County Council to terminate in the event that Orchard Meadow School closes; and

in order to protect the Council’s interest in the retained School site the lease will be subject to a covenant restricting use to that of an adventure playground. 

 

Decision

 

Having regard to the arguments and options set out in the documentation before me and the representations made to me, I confirm my decisions on this matter as follows:

 

to approve the temporary disposal of surplus land at Orchard Meadow School, Blackbird Leys to Oxford City Council by way of a 12 year lease at less than market rental value.
