PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: FOURTH QUARTER

REPORT 2008/09

 

PROGRESS AGAINST PRIORITIES AND TARGETS

 

Report by County Council Management Team

 

Introduction

 

1.                  This quarterly report shows our performance against the key targets contained in the Council’s Balanced Scorecard at the end of the Fourth Quarter 2008/09.

 

Corporate Balanced Scorecard

 

2.                  Annex 1 (download as .xls file) is a one page summary of the Balanced Scorecard using a traffic light system to show performance against each target within blocks: Customer, Finance, Process and People.

 

3.                  Annex 2 (download as .doc file) provides a more detailed summary of performance for each indicator in the scorecard. The indicators are grouped by scorecard block and a commentary is included for each target where appropriate. The criteria used for performance are found in Annex 3 (download as .xls file).

 

4.                  The performance trend shows an overall increase on the previous quarter with the level of performance improving.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

5.                  The Cabinet is RECOMMENDED to note this report.
