EDUCATION PROJECT APPRAISAL: BANBURY SCHOOL – NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK TO REPLACE
STANBRIDGE HALL
Report by
Director for Children, Young People & Families
- The project will
replace the existing accommodation in Stanbridge Hall by providing the
equivalent of 28 teaching classrooms, teaching support spaces and associated
facilities including a new dining hall and social area. The new accommodation
will comprise two 2-storey linked blocks situated in the heart of the
school campus.
- The cost of the
project is being met from the capital receipt from the sale of the existing

Therefore, it is necessary as part of this appraisal for the County
Council to declare surplus to requirements an area of up to 1 hectare
(2.47 acres) of the existing Stanbridge Hall site.
RECOMMENDATION
- The Cabinet
