Cabinet Member’s Comments
I am happy to approve informal consultation and the publication of statutory notices for Hanwell Fields School, Banbury, on the grounds that:
· the school is currently oversubscribed from within its own catchment area and additional housing is planned within the catchment area;
· the proposals will mean that the school is future proofed so that it can expand if further housing developments in the catchment area are given permission;
· accommodation will be used flexibly to meet requirements; and
· there will still be a community room in place.
Decision
Having regard to the arguments and options set out in the documentation before me, I confirm my decisions on this matter as follows:
to approve informal consultation and the publication of statutory notices for Hanwell Fields School, Banbury.
