Summary of representations in person
Councillor Fooks welcomed the incorporation of a fire sprinkler system in the Project Appraisal which was in line with a motion put to Council regarding risk assessment in schools and fire protection. She expressed hope that this was the way of things in the future.
Cabinet Member’s Comments
This Project Appraisal is a very creative proposal. The project not only provides a state of the art science department, providing new laboratories and science area, it removes a HORSA and two temporary buildings, refurbishes 6 fixed science laboratories that can be used for other purposes and provides a much needed central focus for the School.
Further creative work is also necessary, looking at changing facilities in the school to meet growth needs of the school and the Council are currently working with the school on proposals to finance this. Decision
