A lower speed limit is part of the overall traffic calming measures that form part of the Quiet Lanes programme which aim to make country roads and key links between urban areas more attractive to walking, wheeling and cycling. A 20mph speed limit is needed on SPL and an extension of the 30mph on the B4027.
