The proposed Traffic Regulation Order will reduce the existing national speed limit to 40mph on the approach to the roundabout to improve highway safety by lowering vehicle speeds and reducing collision risk.
The change will also support safer operation of the junction by improving driver awareness and reaction times. In addition, it will provide consistency with the proposed 40mph speed limit on the adjacent link road, creating a uniform and safer speed environment.
