Oxfordshire Pupil Place Plan 2015-2019 Forward Plan Ref: 2015/036 Contact: Barbara Chillman, Service Manager, Pupil Place Planning Tel: (01865) 816459 Report by Director for Children’s Services (CMDCEF4). This report seeks
approval for the annual revision of Oxfordshire's Pupil Place Plan 2015 - 2019.
It is good
practice to produce a Pupil Place Plan to clearly set out the framework for,
and approach towards, the provision of places. The Plan shows local
communities, and those interested in their development, how the county council
expects school provision to change over the next few years. It brings together
information from a range of sources and sets out the issues the county council
will face in meeting its statutory duties for ensuring sufficient school places
up to 2019. The Plan is presented to the Cabinet Member for Children, Education & Families for formal ratification as representing Oxfordshire County Council's position, before its publication. The Cabinet Member
for Children, Education & Families is RECOMMENDED to approve the Oxfordshire
Pupil Place Plan 2015-2019. Additional documents: |

Revocation of Proposal to Establish a Sixth Form at Icknield Community College Forward Plan Ref: 2015/045 Contact: Diane Cameron, Schools Organisation Officer Tel: (01865) 816445 Report by Director for Children’s Services (CMDCEF5). This report seeks
to revoke a previous decision. The Cabinet
Member for Children, Education & Families approved the previous proposal
led by the Governing Body of Icknield Community
College to establish a Sixth Form at the College from September 2015. In order
for this to happen, the upper age range of the College was to be extended from
16 to 19. Unfortunately,
mainly for financial reasons and new developments since the approval was made,
the College now considers it not financially viable to open a Sixth Form at the
present time. Reasons for this are set out by the College in the Report. A formal revocation of the previous approval is now sought, in order to comply with statutory processes. The Cabinet Member for Children, Education & Families is RECOMMENDED to
revoke the decision to approve the extension of the age range at Icknield Community College to establish a Sixth Form. Additional documents: |
