Questions from County Councillors Any
county councillor may, by giving notice to the Proper Officer by 9 am on the
working day before the meeting, ask a question on any matter in respect of the
Cabinet Member’s delegated powers. The
number of questions which may be asked by any councillor at any one meeting is
limited to two (or one question with notice and a supplementary question at the
meeting) and the time for questions will be limited to 30 minutes in total. As
with questions at Council, any questions which remain unanswered at the end of
this item will receive a written response. Questions
received after the despatch of the agenda, but before the deadline, will be
shown on the Schedule of Addenda circulated at the meeting, together with any
written response which is available at that time. |

Stronger Communities is RECOMMENDED to: a)
Note the
contents of the report; and b)
Request the
Chief Fire Officer to report back to the Cabinet Member for Safer and Stronger
Communities on performance against the response standards for 2009/10. Minutes: Agreed subject to the addition
of Recommendation (c) as listed. Note:
The Deputy Chief Fire Officer undertook to provide the Cabinet Member for Safer
& Stronger Communities with the totals for year 2007/08 for the number of
incidents in scope, incidents responded to in 11 minutes and incidents
responded to in 14 minutes. |

Stronger Communities is RECOMMENDED to: a)
agree the delegation of the function of the
enforcement of Part III of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 to be carried out in
Oxfordshire by Birmingham City Council and to delegate the power of prosecution
to Birmingham City Council for any matters associated with or discovered during
an investigation by the illegal money lending team; b)
agree the attached “Protocol for Illegal
Money Lending Team Investigations” and that authority be delegated to the Head
of Trading Standards and Community Safety to enter into the agreement on behalf
of Oxfordshire County Council and to approve minor alterations if required. |
