The report presents responses
received to a statutory consultation to introduce a 20mph zone in Faringdon
Town Centre. Funding for consultation on the proposals is to be provided by Community
Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding and should the speed limit proceed to implementation
then further CIL funding is available for this work.
The Cabinet Member for
Highway Management is RECOMMENDED to approve the proposed introduction of a 20 mph zone as advertised.

Minutes:
The Cabinet Member for Highway Management, Councillor Bearder,
considered a report of the Corporate Director Environment & Place (CMDHM8)
presenting responses received to a statutory consultation on proposals to
introduce a 20mph zone in Faringdon Town Centre, as detailed in the report.
It was RECOMMENDED that the Cabinet Member for Highway Management
approve the proposed introduction of a 20mph zone, as advertised.
Councillor Bearder noted the support of Councillor Bethia Thomas,
Faringdon Division, for the proposals, and the letter of support from the Town
Clerk, Faringdon Town Council, on behalf of Faringdon Town Council.
Having considered the report of the Director of Growth and Economy; the
written representations that had been received in response to the consultation;
and the presentations by those persons present at the meeting, either in person
or online, Councillor Bearder announced his decision, as follows:
