Report by Director for Infrastructure Delivery (CMDE11).
The report presents responses received to a statutory consultation to extend bus stop provision on the west side of Market Square in Witney and, to accommodate this, move the existing traffic calming feature (a flat top road hump with a kerb build out) northwards and also to amend the current parking restrictions on the west side of the road by introducing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double-yellow lines) in place of the existing time limited restrictions. The above proposals have been put forward as part of a scheme within and are being funded by the National Productivity Investment Fund.

Minutes:
The Cabinet Member for
Environment considered CMDE11 responses received to a statutory consultation to
extend bus stop provision on the west
side of Market Square in Witney. In order to
accommodate that the proposal sought to move the existing traffic calming
feature (a flat top road hump with a kerb build out) northwards and also amend
the current parking restrictions on the west side of the road by introducing
‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double-yellow lines) in place of the existing time
limited restrictions. The above
proposals had been put forward as part of a scheme within and were being funded
by the National Productivity Investment Fund.
Councillor Laura Price had been unable to attend but had reiterated her
support by email for the measures.
Noting the comments from the local member and having regard to the
information set out in the report before her the Cabinet Member for Environment
confirmed her decision as follows:
to approve
proposals to extend the bus stop
provision on the west side of Market Square in Witney and, to accommodate this,
to move the existing traffic calming feature (a flat top road hump with a kerb
build out) northwards and also to amend the current
parking restrictions on the west side of the road by introducing ‘No Waiting at
Any Time’ (double-yellow lines) in place of the existing time limited
restrictions as advertised.
