The report presents responses
received to a statutory consultation to provide traffic calming measures on
Edinburgh Way Banbury, comprising seven pairs of speed cushions spaced at
approximately 70 metre intervals. The have been put forward as part of wider
works associated with new residential development to the west of Edinburgh Way.
The
Cabinet Member for the Environment is RECOMMENDED to approve the proposals to
provide traffic calming measures on Edinburgh Way Banbury, comprising seven
pairs of speed cushions spaced at approximately 70 metre intervals as
advertised.

The Cabinet Member for
Environment considered CMDE8 responses received to a statutory consultation to
provide traffic calming measures on Edinburgh Way Banbury, comprising seven
pairs of speed cushions spaced at approximately 70 metre intervals as part of wider works associated with new
residential development to the west of Edinburgh Way.
Councillor Mark Cherry the local member had been unable to attend but had
reiterated by email his support for the scheme with a request not to install
any cushions opposite any driveway with a dropped kerb.
Mr Kirkwood confirmed that request had been noted.
Noting the comments from the local member, the officer response and the
information set out in the report before her the Cabinet Member for Environment
confirmed her decision as follows:
to approve the
proposals to provide traffic calming measures on Edinburgh Way Banbury,
comprising seven pairs of speed cushions spaced at approximately 70 metre
intervals as advertised.
