The purpose of this report is a justification for an extension of the contract with Bournemouth Churches Housing for a period of fourteen months for the following reasons:

i)              Longer term strategy

ii)            An extremely vulnerable client group

iii)          Suitable available premises

Taking the above into consideration the best interests of the young people and Oxfordshire County Council are served by extending the current contract until March 31^st 2015. An exemption is, therefore, being sought from tendering this contract under 4.3 of the ‘Contract Procedure Rules’.

The Cabinet Member for Children, Education & Families is RECOMMENDED to approve this exemption from the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules.
