This report seeks Cabinet approval for Oxfordshire County
Council to become a constituent authority of the proposed Thames Valley
Strategic Planning Board, a joint governance body being established by Thames
Valley local authorities to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the
Thames Valley Strategic Development Strategy (SDS).
The Board will enable participating authorities to work collaboratively on
cross-boundary strategic planning matters, including housing, economic growth,
infrastructure, transport, climate, and environmental priorities. It will
provide a formal framework for joint decision-making and engagement with
regional and national partners to support sustainable growth across the Thames
Valley.
