The Chair introduced the item and invited officers to raise any points about the report.
Officers confirmed that the project was for 3D visualisation projects in relating to energy planning and EV charging points, particularly in historic villages.
Officers noted that the intention at the end of the pilot scheme was to have a product usable by the County Council and others across the country. The value of the contract was confirmed as £9,800 across the 10 months timespan.
The Chair noted the importance of residents in rural communities being able to know where they can access certain facilities, such as EV charging points.
Officers confirmed that the decision had to be taken through the Delegated Decisions process due to the Council’s constitutional rules, despite the relatively small value of the contract.
The Chair thanked officers for their work and agreed to the recommendations in the report.
