Decision:

Approved

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member for Environment considered (CMDE6) a proposal for and responses received to a statutory consultation to provide a zebra crossing east of the current junction with Dow Street and traffic calming measures west of the current junction with Wellington Road on Camp Road put forward because of development on the northern and southern sides of Camp Road.

Acknowledging the objection from Upper Heyford parish council and Heyford Park Residents Association the Cabinet Member for Environment recognised that that had in fact been about siting of the crossing and specifically the need for a facility nearer the school.  Officers had addressed that in the report confirming that as the funding provided by the developer could not be reallocated to an alternative scheme it could not be secured by developer funding but she was pleased that the issue of further safety measures was being investigated.  Therefore, having regard to the information set out in the report before her together with the representations made to her at the meeting the Cabinet Member for Environment confirmed her decision as follows:

to approve proposals to provide a zebra crossing east of the current junction with Dow Street and traffic calming measures west of the current junction with Wellington Road on Camp Road as advertised.
